Emergency policy

Dr Peeroo has partnered with Artemis (Curepipe) Hospital and Clinic Muller in order to provide emergency inpatient care to patients who are deemed too unwell to be treated in an outpatient setting.

Out of hours or in the event of an emergency, patients can present themselves to these institutions in Curepipe and they will be assessed accordingly. Both clinics have a receiving ward where patients are evaluated before a decision is made to either discharge or admit them.

A resident medical team is present 24 hours a day and they can initiate diagnostics and treatment before specialist review. They also have a critical care unit for the most unwell patients and an ambulance service for convenience.

In addition to this, Dr Peeroo has weekly on call commitments at Artemis (Curepipe) Hospital and provides his expertise for patients who happen to seek medical attention there. Artemis (Curepipe) Hospital can be contacted directly on 651 5050, (emergency ambulance 121) and Clinic Muller on 670 2911 (emergency ambulance 168) for advice.
